We all have things that are important to us. I’m not talking about intangibles like family and faith, but physical things that we value. It might be a keepsake from your grandmother or a gift your children gave you when they were small or a memento from a favored hobby. When you’re trying to find someone just the right present, these important objects are the perfect jumping off point.
Many people reach the point in life when they just already have everything that they really need. When you’re trying to let someone in that position know how much you care, it takes more than picking up a gift card or a new fondue kit. That’s where those meaningful objects come into play. Turning those into beautiful keepsakes is our jam!
If you can bring us something important to whoever you’re buying a present for, we can help transform it. Let me give a couple examples. Take a look at this shadowbox we did. Grandma’s jewelry wasn’t super valuable and not even particularly fashionable anymore, but it still means a lot to us on a personal level. So we transformed it into a piece of art that looks good and still brings back memories of Gram.
We also did a series of stories starting here that went over how we helped one mom transform all the mementos she’s saved from her daughter over the years into a beautiful shadowbox that she gave her daughter for Christmas. It was truly a beautiful thing to see!
But we’ve gotten also to frame and preserve military ribbons, sports memorabilia and countless collectibles. Each one is a picture into what someone loves and values, into memories they hold dear and connections that they treasure. One of the main reasons that we give gifts is to let someone know how much we care about them. What better way to do that than to show them that we value what they value. And we love being a part of that process!
